Good Morning to Everyone.
We had a very wild weather yesterday. We actually lost power around 10 yesterday and it didn't come back on until around 3:30 this morning. Places are still with out power. Most of the stores are closed today since they are still dealing with the weather yesterday. It was very high winds. We don't get that kind of wind storm until late November. We only lost a few sides of our fence and the neighbor lost a tree. But all seems to be getting back to normal. Spent 2 hours trying to find a place to have breakfast this morning. LOL. All of our food in the frig we through out. To long of time with out power. Hope everyone else and an uneventful weekend.
HI all, Happy Saturday! Angelmomma12, you can't send packages to BC. They have to buy stuff at the Nex. The only ting I know that you can send is stamps so she can write you back. You can send packages when she gets to A school.
Catsmom, If Chrissy's is happy. I am happy. She seems to like being a yeoman. She never really want to be an FC, she wanted to be a nurse but the recruiter didn't offer her that , he offered her the FC job. She needed a job so she took it. I don't like recruiters.
Jean,
Wow!!! Good for her!! Hope it all goes well for her!!
Angelmomma,
Have to concur with the other moms on here - we couldn't send anything to our girls until picture time when we could send them makeup and contacts, that they also used for PIR. They have to purchase those products at the NEX and it's use what's available!!!!
Catsmom,
So happy to hear from you again and congratulations on the promotion!!!! Yay manager!!!!! And you don't have to put up with the crazy lady any more. What is she going to do without you there to do her work for her??? Sorry for your co-workers tho who I'm sure will be missing you!!!
Curlyq,
Happy to see you here!!! So happy you got to hear from your girl and that all is well. Don't be shocked tho if you get a letter from her sometime and she says she is really down about something happening. Remember, we are their sounding boards and the safe place they can vent to. Everything will work out, but sometimes they have to write and let everything off their chest!!!! Tears at our heart sometimes.
MartiB,
Good to hear from you!!! Hope you are enjoying the time with your grandkids and they aren't running you ragged!! Good luck to your son in law on his job search.
Jean,
Whatever came of the electrician's job your daughter was trying for?? Did she make it???
Good to hear from everyone else!! Have a great weekend!!!
Morning everyone. Happy Friday!
Angelmomma, my daughter's PIR was in May. Like Blondie said, I wasn't allowed to send her anything other than makeup for pictures either. My daughter hated having to use her body wash as shampoo (she has long hair) but eventually decided it was faster and less hassle.
Hi curlyq! Yay on getting your 1st letter! My daughter made great friends in BC. Best of luck to her! So proud!
Hi everyone, my name is Chris and my daughter is in her second week of boot camp. I just got my first letters from her today and was so relieved. She sounds happy and having a good time. So thankful for this website it is keeping me sane.
