N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

@curlyq I thought the same thing yesterday when I saw the new PIR list. I also just saw that the PIR graduates for Oct 9th will be the first for the winter season to graduate in dress blues

It is so exciting to see our PIR date moving up.  It's getting closer.

Received our first call from our daughter, Div 948, yesterday. She had "15 minutes" and was carefully watching the time. She verified that Div 948 would be week 2, day 1 today (8/31/15).

Hi Josh Mom,  I also booked for a suite room at the Holiday Inn last week due to anticipation of more family members coming ( Navy Lodge was booked then). I got so lucky this weekend that two rooms opened up at Navy Lodge to accommodate all of us. (which was even lesser cost compared to the suite room in Holiday inn). So I cancelled the latter.

Yes...call Navy Lodge every day.  It has taken us about a week but got reservations today.  Good luck

Good Day!

Thanks leomom65.  I would do just that if it was just me, but his dad (my ex) and brother are flying in to his graduation as well.  I thought it would be best if we all stayed at the same hotel.  We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott.

Josh Mom, try to call Navy Lodge everyday. They have cancellations all the time. The first time I called, they were booked but I called 2 days after and they opened up. Good luck!
