N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

It was not so much the performing part, its not like they get a solo or anything - it was about getting to see his face.  I'm sure I'll be scouring the facebook pages when they start posting the random photos too.

Yes,I'm sure you are glad, lol We still like to see our kids take the spot light. And there's nothing wrong with that. ; ) I would have been the same if my daughter had that talent. No need to let it go to waste.

Selfishly I wanted him to try to do it because I will get to see him in the live stream of those 2 graduations before his.  He just wasn't sure about all the extra work on top of all the regular boot camp stuff.  I'm glad he changed his mind.

Wow, that's pretty exciting. Congrats to you. I always thought those groups really stood out. : )

949 is a Triple Threat division (band, chorus & drill team)  They will perform at their graduation & the 2 before theirs.  Someone came around after he had been in his original division several days & asked if anyone had experience in any of those areas.  He held up his hand, said he played tuba & they said "you're hired". I think they asked the first night also but he probably didn't raise his hand then..he told me he wasn't interested in doing that because of the extra work. But I guess he changed his mind.  Since they had already sent the form letter he got to call his wife to tell her about the new address. :)

So garden gal, I guess I'll still be there the same day for graduation as you guyd. So how do they change div. What's that about?
