Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 947

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Anyone else have someone ship 2 div 947?

My son is in Div 947 too. We have already booked a hotel as well.

We booked hotel too but not flights yet
My boyfriend is also in ship 02 div 947!
Hi There! My son is in DIV 947
Finally another mom with Div 947. I will friend you. What is your sons job?
Hi there!! My son is also in Ship 02 Div 947!! Anyone receive a call or a letter yet?
I received a call on Sunday, but very short. He said he had 20 min for us and then was going to call a friend forb10 min. After about 5 min he was rushed off phone. But really good to talk to him. He said that they just got to mail letters this past Sunday.

Same here! How did your son sound? Mine was so upset! In a good way I should add! He said he realized how he could have treated me better and was extremely apologetic! My heart swelled with happiness! I told him that I know that he loves me, but to kick butt!! His Aircrewman contract was pulled because he failed his hearing test. He is awaiting to see what other possible jobs are available to him. I found out that even though he passed his hearing test at MEPS.. They do a real extensive one up there at GL. I just hope he is happy with what they offer. Or he will have the option to come home! I told him to think hard because he is almost 1/2 through BC!! :)

He sounded good but the call got cut short. He said that 947 is involved in graduation ceremonies. Seemed excited about that. When does yours find out about other jobs?

Still waiting! Yes I found out that he was in the Honor Guard that will be doing the rifle ceremony at the graduation! I was so stoked! I sure hope he finds out soon because I haven't booked a hotel; flight or rental car AT ALL!! I hope and pray they let us know in enough time before all the rooms and such are taken! I thought he would have found out this week. He mentioned going to see them about a new job offer. But I got no call as of yet! Maybe Sunday!? :) Fingers crossed! :)

My son is also in the rifles during the ceremony.  Have you heard anything about his job yet?
