Thanks 1Bodyprof.  I'm not sure when I'll be able to hold him but it will for sure be AFTER her mom leaves... :~) so in a few weeks, at best.  We will be coming to support at Deployment as well.  It will be very hard on them, and all of those in similar circumstances, no doubt.

Boom Mom: Sorry that you got cut off! Hope delivery goes well and that you get to hold your grand baby soon!

Well, ladies.  I got a brief call from my son (who I haven't heard from since they left) telling me they came and woke him up at 10:00 a.m. (must be working the night shift) since his wife called and is in labor.  I asked him if I should try the 3-way calling to get his dad on the phone.  I accidentally cut him off and he did not call back (I assume unable to).  AAAHHHH!!!!  I am so bummed, but at least he called.  Her mom decided to save the $ and drive (that stinks), so I doubt she will make it the 12 or so hours from Buffalo in time for the delivery (at least I hope it doesn't take that long for their sake).  But... I will hopefully have a little grandson soon.  No clue if the communications will stay up for the next 12 hours or so on the ship.  I heard they will be going totally down at some point.  Very excited!

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend....we got a call from our sailor from the ship - it was nice to talk to him!

Thanks for sharing that GrandmaBarB - can you tell me how I go about setting up the Gmail updates?  Sounds like something I would like to have.

Hi, Gang.  This came across my Gmail where I'm plugged into Truman for updates.

I guess when we get to feeling blue and perhaps a wee bit sorry for ourselves because our sailor isn't communicating well or some such, we should remember what they are doing....and what the Navy is for.

Here, shots of some activity from the Truman Strike force.  Sort of brings it all home.

Be safe, sailors....and my Munchkin.....and Yours, too.
