We got another phone call today!! She wanted to talk to her Dad because she didn't get to talk to him last week, so I only talked to her for about a minute. She passed her swim test, which she was worried about. She said that they need to do 2 hours of Watch every night. Is that typical?

By the way, what is ASMO?

Yay, I got my first letter from my girl yesterday!! She sounds good and has kept her sense of humor. She is comparing Boot Camp to the tv series Orange is the New Black.

Blonde, good luck with your conference this weekend.

Anna, sorry to hear about your injury. Hope you heal well.

Oleander I'm hoping you'll post some finished pics of the pirate ship. Sounds amazing. There's a neighborhood in Louisville that goes all out for Halloween. Its fun to walk their street and see what they come up with. Some are very creative.

Morning everyone!

Good luck with your classes Blondie! I hope the days fly by for you.

Yay spyder! Safe travel and lots of hugs!

Yes, we made it to the weekend Jean! Tomorrow we start building the pirate ship. Crews and building materials showing up early. The neighbors are already stopping by asking if we'll be in this years contest .... Game On! :-)

Happy Friday everybody

Aww, Anna -- whatever works that makes you better! Elevate! Blondie obviously has the read on this so just backing her and praying for a quick (rapid! ) recovery.

Thanks Catsmom and Blondie - she'll be fine. She has 3 months in the Officer's Galley. Things could be worse, right? Not that she's liking it, but the good news is that her schedule allows her to come home when she was scheduled to before she got galley duty AND she gets to come home for Halloween. We're so lucky and blessed. I'm thankful Every. Single. Day that we have her close for now!

Good night ladies!

She is growing way to fast. She wears grandma out. I still babysit her on Thursday. This Saturday is the first weekend that I need to babysit.

Anna, praying for you. Hope you didn't tear any tendons! Can't believe they will make you wait 6 months! That is so wrong! Did they give you a lateral knee support? You should be wearing one. ( sorry I used to work in Physical Therapy) I am very conserved that they won't do an MRI. Hugs, and prayers my friend.

Oleander, sorry your girl has galley duty. My girl lucked out, she was attached to the Truman for deployment, and didn't have to do that. But she was locked in a room with armed guards for 14 hours a day, or longer. Praying she doesn't have to do the galley to long.

Jean, almost the weekend! 1 more day! Yay! How is that sweet Aurora doing?

Hot here again 98 today. Hotter tomorrow... How I wish for fall. Been so crazy busy. No time for anything. Missing all of you! Crystal went back to work on Monday. She is missing JJ. Says he is fussy all day with daddy, and so happy when she gets home. That is good for her. Just praying that the looser is taking good care of him. Not ignoring him, could explain the being fussy.

Blondie, hope all is going well for you. And thank god the hurricane went back out to sea!
Off to bed. God bless you all. Will try to read everything everyday.

Oleander,

Yeah I asked the hubby when we were at the ER, how quickly he could build my wheelchair ramp!  Then we both said "a wheelchair wouldn't fit in the trailer"!!!!!  Thank you for the prayers!!!

Blondie,

No I'm using crutches.  I still cannot put any weight on it at all.  And yes, they want me to go to Physical Therapy!!!  I think I need to start arguing with them regarding my course of treatment.  No brace but Dr did put on a large ace bandage wrap on it.
