Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

This is the "typical " week for Security Clearance info calls (though they can come anytime, we see the most happen now) Seems like Tuesday and Thursdays mostly.

I'll repost info about these calls again.

My daughter is in Ship 11 Div 020.

Thank you for sharing ProudNavyMom. I have been on high alert never setting my phone down. I was so hoping for a call last Sunday.

Sad to hear they all lost their privileges to make calls last week. Hopefully they will work hard this week and gain them back.

Her boyfriend had PIR on 09/25 and he was able to call 4 times during training. First call was 3 weeks in. He is currently at A school in Pensacola.

Thanksgiving in Chicago this year..

Praying this week for my son and all of the recruits: May the Lord bless and protect them. I pray all the SR's would learn, retain and apply what they have been trained to do. Unity and a strong formation of family and team spirit in each division. For those who are struggling with an injury or any kind of difficulty, I pray for healing and quick restoration. Help them to pass test and gain confidence. Grant them all mercy and grace according to your unfailing love. In Jesus name!

@VirgoMom904 - She didn't say who gets to call home but she said that where she was there was four telephones and had more recruits in the waiting area to use the phones.  She said she passed her interview this morning and needed to call me for some extra info.  She needed my other two daughters DOB and place of birth.
