Tricia - are you able to do the custom forms online?  I "click & print" my USPS mailing labels to save $$.  But, I haven't figured out how to do the customs form online yet....I've sort of tried to start one but haven't quite been able to complete one......arghhhhhhh

Thanks BoomMom, I did remember that if you have to use more than one form to list item, that at the top of forms to put Page 1 of 3 for example, 2 of 3, & etc.  Also, to cross out bar codes on top of forms except for first page.  Hope I didn't confuse anyone.

Tricia51.  Here is what I found online:

The top part s self-explanatory

Under the TO:
last name, first name, initial
Business:  USS Harry S Truman
Address (number street, etc.):  Unit 100255  Box ####
Postcode:  09524     City:  FPO
State:  AE  (Leave Country Blank)

Keep the descriptions generic:  personal toiletries, food, paper products, etc.

Hope it's correct and helps.  It's what I use.

Does anyone have a sample of how to fill out the custom forms for our sailors.  I had one before but forgot how I exactly did them, & when we moved I must have lost them.  Help, please

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

Welcome Josh's Mom - we're happy you found us too!  This is a good place to be ;-)  Together we'll all get through this.

My son doesn't have a sweet tooth so I never get to send him cookies - but I'm always looking for different spicy/salty snacks.  I found jalapeno popcorn & he liked that.  I'm going to do a little research on the pickled eggs too.

I'm still trying to figure out for sure how I do the customs form.  I do the USPS online shipping & I haven't quite got the form perfected.  Someone had mentioned to just list "snacks, personal hygiene, books" on the form - keep it general.  I'm working on it.

Yes..I will definitely add bread when I mail my cookies. It's so nice to hear from you all. It means a lot to have people to chat with from the same ship/group and know we are all going thru the same thing!
