Couple things: The call from my son was so he could get the gfs names right for gift cards for everyone. Thoughtful.
They are now in Sasebo, Japan. Several of them went to Nagasaki to visit for a day. They were allowed to take pictures, but I will have to wait to see them. Seeing the world, well Japan.
Happy New Year!!!
Hey Texas moms: There is a picture of the Texas coming into the harbor in Japan. You should be able to find it on 7th fleet pictures,
Got that 3am call from my sailor. I was sound asleep and could not make a lot of sense, but it was great to hear his voice. Japan is half way around the world and it sounded like next door! They actually served a Christmas dinner: ham, mashed potatoes, yams, pie etc.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Nice to see you posted Dee!
Navy: Your OMB will keep you informed. You need to get in touch with her.
My sailor is once again in Japan. Pictures were posted from the 7th fleet on FB. They are moored next to the USS Texas!
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am so glad that when I was in HI we had Thanksgiving dinner with my son. He is now deployed .
They are in port in Japan. They will have liberty, but alas I do not think they serve turkey or ham for Thanksgiving. I wonder if the boat does? I have a hard time with the time in Japan, as in 13 or is it 14 hours ahead of us, so when he got in touch with me he was a day ahead.
Back to fixing dinner!
If anyone is interested in helping me locate a car rental near the port, please message me.
thank you.
