DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Has anyone received their form letter yet for those who arrived at basic on 16NOV? I know it's quite early, but I've been seeing some people receiving their letters?

DACB, They will figure it out since there is no DIV 590 ever at the RTC since the regular divisions seldom get out of the 300's. DIV 059 is in the 01/08/2016 TG. Use DIV 059 on all letters from now on and let others know of the correction to the address if you have given out your recruit's address to other family and friends.

My son arrived on the 16th also.  I did get his box, but no form letter.  What is in the letter?  Ship 06, Division 059 with PIR date of 01/08/16.

His official ship, division and PIR date among other things. Read more at http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/the-form-letter

I received mines yesterday and plan to send a letter today.

I received mine from my son yesterday. Made me feel a little better. Now I can send him letters. He arrived at RTC on 11/16. I got his box last Thursday.

I got mine today.

Ryansmom, I left info for you on your My Page.

My son left for RTC on November 16th and I received the form letter on Monday.  He is scheduled for PIR on January 8.  I have written him twice already but have not received any letters from him.  Was thinking it would be nice to get a call today but I did not really expect one.

Finally received my letter today!!!! PIR 01/08/15

Good morning Mom, hope you have a great Monday.

Still have not received a phone call.  Was really expecting a call on Saturday based on what other people were saying.  Guess I'll just have to be patient.
