Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 047 and 048

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Our letters arrived as well.  My son sounded the same about the new RDC, good to hear.  Hope you get a call during your husbands down time, mine had his pulled a few years ago so he lucked out!  Happy day…until the next communication!

I'm so happy for you all who have gotten phone calls. My son hasn't called yet, though. He must have missed the chance. I'm kind of disappointed. Oh well, no news is good news, right? We did receive a letter along with the Christmas adoption form. He sounds like he's doing okay but the division is getting yelled at a lot because some of the group don't follow orders well. It was so good to hear from him!

Man your phones! Division 14 is calling! Just had a very nice 15 minute chat with my husband. The division is doing well.

that was such a pleasant surprise, I didn't expect to get a call until Christmas.

bdmom64 your SR might have been on watch when they were able to call, all kinds of things can get in the way so maybe soon and yes, no news is good news!  My son said the same about some of the division not being with the program yet.  He said the next week or so is when they start figuring out who won't make it to graduation.  31 days till graduation!

bdmom64, our sons are in the same division. I didn't receive a call from my son this weekend either. It is disappointing. My son had also said that there were a number of recruits that are still struggling with the change to military life.
No letter, but I did get a call yesterday. Could only speak for 3 minutes, but he did have to make a second call to his dad. He sounded good, misses home, said there were a few recruits who weren't with the program and thus cause some issues for the division. He is headed to Pensacola after PIR.

Anybody have a SR with the initials BS from Div 048?  He is my adopted sailor for Christmas with my son.  So excited!

I just got some letters from my boyfriend today. I am so happy. He told me he passed all his tests and even became MailPO. And also that he loves me :)

Did anybody get calls from Division 048 yet?

Has anyone received any letters today? I heard that there was something wrong with the key to the mailroom, but when I asked my husband about it when I spoke to his this past Sunday, he said he was able to send out more letters. However, there was no mail from him today =(

My son didn't say anything about it and thought his letters were going out Monday when we talked on Sunday.  I don't expect to receive any in So Cal until tomorrow.  Sure hope we get mail this week!
