Hi There! I just joined this group, my only child, my daughter is now in Boot Camp and arrived there on Feb 21st. She is going to a QM. Her PIR date is set for 4-21-17. I'm still waiting for her initial form letter with all her information but I was able to get her Ship and Division number last Friday from her recruiter because so far I still have not received her form letter.  I'm so excited but I miss my daughter terribly. We are very close and I have never gone this long without any kind of communication with her.

Said goodbye to my sweet girl today, as she heads out to her first command. Bootcamp was hard, A school was a little easier, but after having her home for 2 weeks, after 5 months gone including christmas, her birthday, easter... it was so nice to have her loud fun self home. Her boyfriend proposed while she was home, he leaves for the army in June. The journey my little gal faces will be tough, but everyday is a gift, and I'm thankful for our faith in God to get us through each day. Please 3 years go fast!

My daughter is in GC, studying for NUKE, ET.  She is in A school.  Anyone else with daughters in GC for A school?

This is the first year mine won't be home during Christmas or New year's too. Not happy about it but i have to deal. It's so hard to get in the spirit for the Holidays!

I just realized this will be the first time our daughter will not be here for Christmas, even when she was away at college she was here for Christmas. Guess this is Reality and life as we know it now, but I don't have to like it. :(

Hi fellow moms! My daughter shipped 11/16. Got her box & form letter today! Was able to make hotel reservations, which makes Jan 8th not seem so far away!

Hello everyone my daughter is with Ship 12 division 41. I haven't heard from her since November 1. No calls or letters. My family and I have written many letters, but no response. Has any one in this division heard from their SR? I'm concerned that she could be sad if she can't call and hasn't received letters.

7 more weeks...my Navy girl and grandson will be home permanently!!!!  I so can't wait; San Diego has not been kind and my daughter misses her home roots.
