Sammy1990 I'm here to support the moms. We can always reach our SR'S through prayers. We will keep on encouraging all the SR's because everyone of them need it.

Loraine is right. they thrive on letters. send daily. have friends and relatives send. it's a depressing place, everyone is down, they are looked at differently by the rcu kids they live with, but.... it's just one of life's challenges. most all get thru. they get determined to push through and do. some give up.... those kids need support and encouragement. send extra cards and tell your child to give it to a friend who needs support. the rdcs want them to pass. they sit with them in their spare time and counsel and mentor. they pace them for the runs, and that's key.... they need to find their personal pace. whatever it is. run fast at the start, run fast at the end. whatever works for them. I'm not medical, but if they don't have damaging injury, they need to push through the pain and move on. the pain will go away in A school. they have pain because they went into boot camp unable to pass the run. their body has had to do so much in so little time. as for time in fit.... currently they only give them 10 tries. they test for the run 3 times a week unless there is a holiday (like presidents Day... they will test twice that week). some runs don't count if a fellow sailor calls a time out for being really sick or hurt. one last thing... the rdcs can tell who cares and is trying. those that use the treadmills, improve their time a little each run, and are determined and encouraging to others. they can also tell who has given up. good luck. and Lorraine, stick around here and help after your son is in fleet. no one knows this heartache like those of us who have lived through it. no one. sammy

Encourage her every chance you get, letters, cards and most of all prayers. Call on the highest power. She will make it.

Not sure hard to get info thru the tears! I keep telling her she will make it. Not having graduation was really depressing for her and the others in fit!

Sis16sis did she try icing it? That is if she has access to ice

I am glad I am not the only who gets up early and can't sleep. I am so concerned for my SR she is getting discouraged due to her injury. Need lots of prayers for everyone in fit! My daughter also has an injury and they gave her cream for her knee but it does not seem to work very well

He will be fine, after he pass the pfa and BS everything should be easier. After he gets over these obstacles he will be able to face whatever challenges that comes. You will be surprise.

When he passes his PFA he'll be staying in GL & go to training "across the street", I'll worry about what's next when we get to the "done w/training" phase. :)
