I'm in! New Mexico has already pledged 50 pillowcases so we are half way there!

WooHoo!!!!

This whole ship has recieved Pillowcases for Heads At Ease. Should we be making more?

Have communicated with our POC within the last 24 hours. No mention of them receiving PC's. Will send a message and ask.

We are in sounds like a fun group.

Numbers changed to 306. Pillowcases are secured, but can still use whatever else is on the list.

Ok it looks like you said there are now 306 sailors in our group this month and all pillow cases are accounted for correct. That  is a much bigger group than anticipated. I will have to make some calls and get more stuff. I found paddle balls that you color at Michael's would have picked up more than 30 had I seen the numbers.

Hi everyone, do we have a count on the number of boxes sent to the ship.  They have already received the 101 boxes from FL.  How many more are expected?  Thank you!

I mailed 2 boxes and had Silly Putty and water guns sent from Amazon.
Received this email today....
Good Morning!

I am CS2 _____ from the USS Gonzalez, we received your letters and they were so nice to sit down and get to read (you made us all really want fresh made fugde and waffle cones :) haha.) We go weeks to sometimes months without receiving anything and when we do, it means the world to us. Thank you for being such a kind and generous woman and thinking of us while we are away. Attached to this email, is CSADD (coalition of sailors against destructive decisions)  I am president for this organization, and we all send our thank you. On this day I hope you know that you made an entire ship smile and helped boost the morale of  hundreds of sailors.

Thank you again for your actions.

Happy mother's day!

God Bless!

Have a wonderful day!

Very Respectfully,

Thank you for sharing the nice letter.  Happy Mother's Day to all!
