Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Hi, Well, my daughter K is still at BC, just arrived almost 2 weeks ago, so she has a few more weeks before she arrives at her A school. We are told that she'll be heading to TX for her schooling, but I noticed there are three places she might go...or are the other two places for advanced training - Va and Ga. Just curious...trying to think ahead for A school graduation LOL...yea, I like to plan ahead..not really, I am switching jobs, and just want to be able to tell my new employer that I will need some time for the A school graduation. Also, where might I find information about what actual rates (jobs) are under the Master of Arms. Just trying to keep my mind busy until I know where she will be and what she will actually be doing...thanks for all the information you can give me, and thank you for welcoming me.

You could always check with where ever she will schedule her appointment. My Son went to our post office. The lady there was really helpful. They should have a 1-800 number for questions but I just checked the site and they don't seem to.

When I got my Son's I put what his job was then. If they are still in school you can put student. The lady at the post office said it would not make a difference because they are good for several years. You will update the job when they renew.

lemonelephant, What do we put on the occupation part for Passport? My daughter has not left to BC yet

Comment by lemonelephant on April 29, 2016 at 2:58pm

Tricia, it is suggested to have a civilian passport. It is not absolutely necessary, but is helpful.

lemonelehant   so I was told by my daughters Recruiter that she did not need a Passport. I know she can travel on orders, but what if she is out of country and has to come home alone or private issues? any thoughts?
