Happy belated Mother's Day to all my Sea Sisters! My carrier sailor is on a short underway so no communication but I did get a lovely card on Saturday. He won't be back until later in May.

Yes ProudMom, I do have the bakery in Longmont, CO Would love to meet you.

If vacation house does not work, remember the Villas.  Unless you are military, your sailor will have to make the reservation.  We had side by side units as our daughters and grandchildren went to PIR with us.  There were 11 of us plus our sailor.  We brought Wyoming steaks and had a BBQ for several sailors.  Great location and all the amenities.

CO-TwinSailors yes we stayed there for thanksgiving last year when my son was in Power School. Now he's in NY in prototype.
We absolutely loved the place and would recommend it 100%.
Are you the one with the bakery in Colorado? My daughter will be in a softball showcase in July there and I'd love to visit your bakery! :)

Hey Everyone!

Need some recommendations for a hotel during PIR. Son graduates 6/17/16, then on to Goose Creek.

His "Navy Welcome" letter says his mailing address is Ship 04, Div 225. Not sure if that tells me anything about where he is on the base? There were two other Nukes shipping out with him and they bunched together, so maybe they are barracked together.

Thanks for the info everyone; you are helping to keep me sane!

Thank you all for the kind words about my sailor.  He is currently on medical hold for a few weeks due to the bone marrow donation.  They have to make sure his white cell count is ok before releasing him.  He has orders to the USS Tennessee, a boomer in Kings Bay, GA.  Hopefully, he will still get his full 30 days of leave before he has to report.  :)
