Redbecky - My son is also in Groton.  He graduated BESS on April 15th and then graduated from ATT school last week. he has to go to TECHNO school and then finally onto his A school.  depending on your sons rate will determine how much schooling he is going to need.  Stay on this site and join the Sub School BESS and A school.facebook page they had tons of information and Mark Pavely helps with any questions you have.

Thank you for all your comments. Mandy, I'm not sure I'm really new to this, but he arrived on Friday and said school started Monday, talked to him on Monday and he said they spent the day doing paper work, maybe it is different, maybe not I really only know what my son told me. I know after sub school he is staying in Groton for IT school, I think that is his A school. And that is about the sum of my knowledge, I'm so new to this I'm not even sure what my questions should be. :) but I am very greatfful for navy4moms it has been a great help.

Redbecky, my son got to Groton coming up on two weeks and he hasn't started Sub School yet. I talked to him yesterday and he thought the next class would form in two more weeks. They have to wait in more guys to show up to make a class. From what I understand, once they start school it lasts for 63 days. Then on to "A" school. Hope this helps!

My son started sub school yesterday in Groton. Where could I find more information on the training, maybe a timeline? Is this "A" school or does that come next?

I was wondering if they sent tickets or info for Friday's Bootcamp graduation and what I should do once I get to the base? Is there a meeting like you said for us before the ceremony ?
