bluediamond, He stays in FIT until after BST. After passing BST, he will move to the THU immediately and will be able to have some Liberty. The timing of BST for those who have passed the PFA in FIT depends on how many recruits are within the divisions scheduled for BST and how many recruits from FIT can be accommodated. Recruits for FIT are added to the list for BST in the order in which they passed the PFA. If four divisions are having BST (as often will happen on a Monday night), then fewer recruits from FIT will be able to be accommodated than when one to three divisions are scheduled for BST. (See Battle Stations-21 (BST) for when BST typically occurs.)

Actually I did...as soon as I landed he called if only for a few minutes, as he had already attempted twice and had left voicemail. It was so good to talk to him. Now my world feels rigbt again. I do miss him but I know contact will be more frequent. Said he was not sure when BS21 would be, that he may be pushed back...not sure what that means. So now I wonder what happens. Does he stay in FIT or goes to a holding unit.

I will for sure go see him in A-school. Yesterday was exactly 2 mths since I have seen him and it is so hard because I really miss him. But if I made it through these mths I can wait another few weeks. So glad your son is doing well. Hope you have the BEST time together. I can only imagine how excited you must be...bet the time seems frozen...lol...hugs and blessings to all.

I am so happy for you bluediamond. Congratulations on your son passing. I know how happy you must be. Our son too eventually passed but missed Pir, so we didn't get to see him. It has now been 23 weeks since we saw him. We are driving to Pensacola to see him this weekend! ! It will be a nice reunion!! Can't wait for a lot of hugs, kisses and pictures! !

I swear as soon as he said I passed ..
I did not hear anything else...lol. But I will admit that not only this group but a few others that are navy mom related really kept me together. So I am beyond grateful to everyone. And yes it was the BEST news ever.

Frances, yes, it would have been even better if he had had PIR, but he WILL be a Sailor on Monday. We are believing that for him and the others from FIT who passed and will be having BST with him.
