Hi everyone. My son graduated BC in June and arrived at Groton last week. He is waiting for sub school to start. I can tell that this site is going to be as helpful as the BC site was - very thankful for that!

Mandy - when I went to see my son, we went to Mystic, the Aquarium, Foxwoods and Bluff Point Park.

We always enjoy going to Mystic Seaport, which is only a 15 minute drive. With your sailor, you can get the group rate.

What are the Must See in the Groton area? My son said he can only be 25 miles away. So, no Boston. We will be there in a couple of weeks.

I found the name of the restaurant. Thank you google. They even have a web site. Paul's pasta in Groton, Conn.

I rent a car. I went there twice 1 time I rented through AAA the other time I used hotwire. The rental cars are right at the airport attached by a walkway. We stayed 1 time at the Hampton Inn and were able to get the military rate because of our son being in the service and he was able to spend the night. The other time we stayed at the Residence Inn booked directly through Marriott. We ate at pasta restaurant right on the water. Very popular with the military wish I could remember the name.
