HI

Welcome Aboard New Moms. And I love to see that you all have been Jumping into the Water. For teh new moms - that means sharing and talking and talking and talking !!! I had a wonderful read of 8 pages to get caught up !!!! Thanks you

Maggs- how is teh Squirrel? How cute of your daughter - the coloring book.

Kim - congrats on son re-upping. I agree - I would like to be there. but I must of miss something - how was teh surgery?

Blondie - so glad to see you did not float away with the flood. sorry about Virginia though

AntiM - I remember you sharing about those vending machines a while back.

And I am so happy to hear that a sailor is coming home to visit and address' were found to send packages. When my sailor was there - he too would not call or email often. He was homesick. But then he changed and loved getting packages and calling us. I believe it was the need to have long johns that changed the feeling of not wanting package to WANTING them now. any extra stuff i sent - he shared with his mates. then he would call to chat and forget he was 13 hours ahead! So at 2 AM my time , I was chatting away. Hope this is what happens for the new moms soon.

i agree - those packages we send are out navy moms' theropy .

I'm going to have to get back in teh groove of sending packages. Sailor has a new assignment - back to Japan - Sasebo. This will be later on - but he is happy to be going back.

Today - marks just 30 days before my hubby and I will be visiting our sailor in CA!  i text him today - reminding him we will be out there and I will be collecting hugs. He send back - Yep ! And then a second text of "I got free tickets to Sea World." Looks like he is planning our sight seeing.

One more item - I so agree - wish we all could get together. I know some of us have. But I do know = one day there is going to be one BIG Pan Mom hugathon!

Until then - sweet dreams all and hugs

Hi all, my son actually called me through Messenger on Saturday morning and we talked for 1 and 1/2 hours.  I couldn't believe it.  It was so nice to just talk like we use to even if it was about anything and/or nothing.  I still have a smile on my face.

Congradulation to Kim and her son. Hope you get to spend time with him while he is on shore duty in NY.

Thanks Navymum and Blondie for my welcome. You are 100% correct Navymum is in Gods hands now and out of my rim of control. I just have to remind myself that I raised a strong young women who is brave enough to go out into the world and try to make a difference. Great news was she got a new iphone this weekend and we were able to facetime and imessage. She looks and sounds so happy and just seeing her face on that screen was such a help for me. I know once she is deployed that she will not be able to contact me as much but it was such a joy to hear from her.

My son is stationed in NY for shore duty until the end of the year.

Yesterday he re-enlisted for 6 more years.  The entire division had a ceremony in a park on the Hudson in Cold Springs, NY.  They all went to lunch afterwards in uniform.  My son had a nice bonus and offered to pay the food bill.   A very nice man in the restaurant paid the entire bill.  What a nice thing to do!

Momplus2 - he's assigned to the Chancellorsville so i was lucky & not need his command. Maggs has best advice.

Anti M....Yes that is correct.

Comment by Anti M on June 24, 2016 at 2:08pm

momplus2, he hasn't even told you his command?

Contact a base chaplain and have them help you privately.  Their FB page has an email address so you can ask for help.  Here's hoping they can be of assistance!

Hello Scully....Just wondering how you found your son's address. .I did find many addresses in Guam...I was told I need to know his command. I would love to send my son a birthday gift. Thank you

I all.  Welcome new moms.

My son does not like to communicate.  I asked him to send an email (even if it is 1 line) every week.  He found that easy and enjoyed my long emails more when he didn't have to respond with the same.  He didn't want me sending things either.  So I started sending things to share, cookies, fudge, etc.  His shipmates asked him to ask for things.  One time he wrote that his chief loves my strawberry jam.  I took that as an order.  LOL.
