Katheryn~ I agree with Frances... even if it only last 5 mins I would still be there, and maybe even more excited than the actual PIR because I would know the struggles and the tears and everything that comes with that dreaded call. it would be a celebration of victory also. thank you!!! and Frances Congrats to your sailor.

I got that Katheryn. I know that I will enjoy this because she missed the other Graduation I know that we will be just as excited as it were the Big Graduation.

Blue Diamond, It is true that the "A" school graduation is much smaller but for those of us with children in FIT it is a big moment! We went down to San Antonio to watch our daughters "A" school ceremony and I will remember that for the rest of my life. It was small but very important to her and us. Congratulations!!

kamme, the ceremony for graduating "A" School is nothing like PIR. It is very small, often lasting less than 30 minutes. Each of the Sailors gets their certificate and if there are family members there, then they will pose for a pic. That's pretty much it. Few loved ones attend most "A" School graduations. Leave a comment with the rating (job) on my My Page and I will give you more info on it.
