Hi JackRussellMom, I created the badge to print at a 3"X 2", and I was going to glue mine to white card stock, and pin it on. Smaller will definitely work too.

JackRussellMom -I was thinking about making it into a sticker.

Any ideas on how we are to wear the sign that Bernapet made? It was pretty large when I printed it. I was thinking of maybe shrinking it a bit and making it into a the size of a name badge and pinning it on me. I'd like to know what everyone else is doing with it.

Are chairs allowed?

Most information that I have gotten regarding homecoming has came from this group.  I am now a bit confused.  It was mentioned that a small soft cooler was allowed.  So, are we also allowed to have some sort of bag to carry our necessities, such as sunscreen, hats, meds, umbrella...etc?

Binoculars are a great idea jbird!

Hi everyone, welcome new members-

I was making a list for Norfolk and thought of these 2 things that might be helpful to some of you. Binoculars! I wish I'd have had a pair at PIR but some nice people shared theirs which was really helpful. Also a spray bottle of water to spritz with in case it's super hot out. Oh and sunscreen. If anyone has any other ideas please share. I like the umbrella idea too.

The Nukes will be the last off the ship. It will take about 3 hours from the time they start coming off.

Traditionally the married/parents get off before the single sailors.  Yes, I've done some research!  Hahaha!  So I'm expecting to have one of the last ones off.  I did a youtube of previous homecomings and people were dressed nicely and comfortably.  The Quality Inn was sold our by the time I got around to making reservations so I'm about 5 miles away.  I'd love to meet up with y'all for a bit the evening before.

Awesome B'sNukeMom. Thanks for your input. It will be a long hot day I am afraid. I will be there with toddlers, and I believe their daddy will be one of the last off. Eek.
