JayDee,

Love the picture!!  Such happiness!!  So glad you were successful in the dress shopping.  Sweet memories!! And I hope you had a wonderful anniversary!!

Oleander,

Beautiful picture of grandbaby!!!  So glad you're going to have time with your kiddos!!

Well we left the son's place.  I hated saying goodbye!!  No more time holding sweet granddaughter in my lap!!!  We kept her with us everyday so it was a little confusing for her to have to get ready for daycare this morning when we were still there.  Try explaining to a 3 year old that we'll be gone by the time she gets home!!!  Here's a pic of her!!!

Morning everybody! Can you believe it's already August? What a weekend, grandson's bday, my bday , JayDee's sailor home, and isn't it your anniversary today too JayDee? Hope you have a wonderful celebration with your husband.

My oldest arrives from back east on Thursday, Sailor comes home Friday for the weekend. We're apparently going to celebrate bdays all over again -- once a year is plenty for me!

Have a great week everyone.

Great picture JayDee! Sounds like you made some wonderful memories, I hope they can tide you over until the next time. Really happy you got to share such special girl time together, I don't think it gets much better than wedding dress shopping! Sending you hugs, I know how hard it is to see them drive away.

My sailor got home last night and leaves again early tomorrow morning.  We had a busy day but got a wedding dress picked out and got her registered.  Even had time for a little fun.  She doesn't leave until tomorrow morning but I miss her already.

Anna no worries its not until Monday! And the best part is that my husband will be home!

JayDee,

Sorry I missed wishing you a Happy Anniversary!!!!  Enjoy shopping for the wedding dress, and yes, bring tissues!!!  Just seeing my Jennifer in a wedding dress brought me to tears.  Catherine already had her dress picked out and ordered so I didn't get that event with her!!!  Get all those hugs you can!!!!

Oleander,

Wait, he asked to go to bed?!?!?  How does that happen?  No matter how tired my granddaughter is, as soon as you mention time for nap/bed she replies, I'm not tired!!!

Blondie,

Hope your girl gets better soon!!!

Oleander - he asked to go to bed?  He must have been worn out - definitely the sign of a successful party.

Comment by Oleander on July 28, 2016 at 10:43am

Fantastic news Blondie! Thanks for keeping us up to date on Melissa and family, I hope your daughter is able to get some rest and start to feel better soon! Btw-- I sent a card to the 1st address : /  maybe it will somehow get to them? If not and it comes back I'll resend to the correct address.

So excited for you JayDee! We can't get enough hugs can we? I'm sure you'll have lots of wonderful memories from this visit. Take pictures of your sailor in her wedding dress choices!

Hope the rain comes your way Blondie, and you're safe from the flash floods JayDee!

5 year old birthday was a huge success -- he asked to go to bed last night LOL

Comment by JayDee659 on July 28, 2016 at 8:26am

Blondie that's wonderful news!  I'm sure she'll be happy to be home with her family.  Sorry your daughter got sick.  Hanging out in hospitals can do that.

I'm patiently waiting for Friday night.  My sailor and her husband will be coming home for the weekend.  I won't really be able to breathe until she's walked in the door and I've hugged her.

It's raining here and we have flash flood warnings.  Blondie, it would be logical for this rain to be heading your way, will cross my  fingers that it makes it!

Thanks everybody!

Happy Anniv. Friday JayDee! And have a fantastic time with your daughter shopping for wedding dresses! Bring tissues -- I was emotionally ambushed when I saw my oldest in her wedding dress!

Enjoy the rest of your time with your family and kitties Anna, and safe travels when you get back out on the road!
