Hi my son arrived in GL 9/9. His PIR is 10/31/14. Curious to hear from other moms whose son/daughter are/were in Ship 4, Div 821.

Please pray for the guys from 821 that are taking their test this Friday for RSS (rescue swimmer school). I understand from my son that they are failing guys for the littlest reasons because they have too many with rescue swimmer contracts.

Just checking in with everyone. My son is in his second week of SWCC. The class started last Monday with 40 guys and after 8 days they are down to 24...tough stuff...prayers for all of our wonderful young men (and women) in the Navy!!!

pamom-glad your son is still hanging in there. I am sure that the training is very rough! My son is in pensacola and is graduating from air crew school today. He said it wasn't especially tough, but the last thing he had to do was definately not fun. Now he waits around to see when RSS starts for him. Must be rough hanging out in Florida just waiting for school to start! LOL

Talked to my son and he classed up this past week and air crew school started for him on Wednesday. Any body else got someone in air crew school?

Finally heard from my son. I have gotten a call 2 days in a row from him; that is quite a record! He is staying focused and working hard at phasing up as quickly as possible. This is not the person that left my house on August 4th; but I love the changes. He has already warned me that when his classes start communication will go way down as swimmer school is not easy.
Good luck to all the young men heading to California.
