DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

C SCHOOL - Good morning everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful time with their family and celebrating Easter.  I got to Text my son and found out this: My SA has already gotten his orders to arrive to his C School on Friday.  How cool is that.  Please, he arrived for A school on March 14th.

Sarge's Meet and Greet was a blast.  I hope you had fun as well.  The food was great and the dancing competition from the music "In the Navy" was fun to watch as well.

It was wonderful to see my SR this weekend.  I  am still beaming with joy.  He made it to is A school safe and sound and there was only one other RP that went with him.  A fellow female seaman.  My son has already notified me that all is well and so far he as not gotten "yelled at" yet.  He is very happy.

Blessed Sunday!

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill

cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp

and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its

stand, and it give light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before men,

that they may see your good deeds and praise

      your Father in heaven."
