Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 167 and 168

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi guys..my boy is Div 168. He loving it..other than being very sore. Can't wait to meet you guys!

My grandson is also in 168, I can't wait to see them all become sailors!

Yay!  Another grandma on the site.  I can't wait for May 9 either...so proud!

Hello all! My son is 167.  He is doing good, he said he is trying to stay out of the lime light which is what he does good!  He passed the swimming but is having to take classes to learn to float! He also said he is having troubles with the 45 degree corners on his bed.  But I am sure he will get them both figured out.  He also said he is catching a cold so he was not feeling all that great Saturday when he called me.  I can not wait to see and meet all of you!

I think everyone gets sick the first couple weeks. I remember when I was in basic they called it the "recruit crud"...absolutely EVERYone got it. When I spoke to my boy last weekend he sounded like crap and said it was the whole division..maybe it is from the close quarters..or the vaccines?

My son is also ship3 div167!!! He is doing ok but says hes homesick..says hes good during the day but it hits him every night. He did say hes met a few buddies & that it helps!
My son just called me! They are on 2.4 and they took their first test today and he got 100% so he got 5 minutes to call! He told me he is really enjoying it all. That is music to this proud mommas ears!
Hello everyone. I finally recieved 6 letters from my (SON) SR Owens!! A few were good & few were not. He says he has a rough time every night as it hits him. He also says he misses the laughter of his little brothers and sisters, and says as crazy as it sounds he even misses the fighting and arguing and the screaming!! He has met some good buddies by the names of Piazza,Nguyen,Floyd,Owens,Suleman,Nail, Hammer,Wood,Mullenbach & Walser!!! Hope to meet the families of these lovedones(SR's)!!!! Tears of joy and tears of sadness just knowing hes missing home & struggling!! Says the letters with encouraging words & his new buddies are helping!!!!

Hello fellow Navy family members!  My grandson is Ship 03, Div 168.  Counting down the days until we can see  him again.  So proud of him and all our men and women who are taking the path for their future!

Maryelln our grandsons are in the same ship and division! I'm so excited to see mine. I think this time around is even more special than my children.

Yes!  I agree. I'm having grandson withdrawl...lol  Mine is supposed to go to A School in Charleston after basic.  I'm already checking out places to stay when I visit down there.

Mine's going to his A school in Pensacola and I'm doing the same. Poor kid is never going to be rid of G ma!
