Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 333 and 334

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is on Ship 12, Div 333.  I know most of the SR made phone calls today but I did not hear from mine at all.  :(  It's been two weeks and no calls.  But i received 4 letters yesterday.  Did anyone else NOT get a call yet from division 333 or 334?

Hi Ginny..My son is in Ship 12, Div 333. I did get a phone call yesterday, but no letters yet. I'm sorry that you didn't get the phone call, I know that must be disappointing. If it's of any comfort, my son said that they are all doing well, although he did have a moment of sadness ( which broke my heart ..he said he got homesick when he heard my voice..he actually said " I'm good Ma, I like it here!"..Of course, as a mother, I kept thinking.. " are they telling him to say that?"..but he did sound in good spirits an said he is meeting some pretty cool guys...I'm not sure how the phone call privileges are given, he didn't tell me..could it be possible that there wasn't enough time allotted for all SR's..he actually had to cut me off and tell me that he had to wrap it up because others were waiting.

Hi Ginny,

I am waiting also for my son's to call me same ship and div 333, 334.

Does anyone know what determines a call home? I am so grateful for the phone call but as another mother, I am sorry that the call didn't come yet. I am praying for you to get that call! I understand completely. I have been a complete mess since he  August 25th.

My son is Ship 12, Div 334.   I did receive a phone call from him on Saturday but missed answering is by ONE MINUTE.  My phone was not in my pocket! UGH!! He left a message and sounded fine for the most part.  I did receive several letters from him on Thursday.  Homesickness has certainly set in but he is a trooper.  He said that calls only go out on the weekend and that last weekends calls were cut short because a recruit upset the Master Chief.  I hope that a lesson was learned and everyone is on their best behavior this weekend.  I am not sure if the calls are only on Saturday/Sunday so I am keeping my phone glued to my side ALL WEEKEND! I hope this helps

Good morning,

I am still waiting for my son's phone call ship 12 Div 333, 334 received a form letter stated 4 guests and they wrote, mom, dad, brother's name and grandma name but for us only Mom, Dad  please advise.

No worries! The form letter is not the final list for PIR. Sometime in the last two weeks of BC they will be asked again for the names of who will be attending. Those names on that list will be final and cannot be changed.

We have heard some recruits have put their pets names on the form letter. :)

Finally, received a phone call from my son and received their letters, happy mom .

ELAMOM, when did your son call?  I have not heard from my son yet.

My son called us Sunday, 9/14

Thank you for the update Ann1820.  My son is in the same ship/division as your son is and I have not heard from him this weekend (yet, I'm hopeful!). I missed his call last weekend but also received a letter from him this past week.  Anyone else waiting on a call this weekend or received a call this weekend?

What time did your son call you last night? It must have been late!
