Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is going to be an AT at the same place too. Im going to stay at Navy lodge also. Hope we can meet there :)

My son will be going to Monterey, CA, for A school for CTI.

For PIR, we'll be staying with family in the area. I'm going to look into shuttle service for getting onto base, though. I've read that the car line for PIR can back up for several miles!

Hello everyone a school is in charleston SC for my son :) have a great day everyone!

Good Morning All.  My son is in Div 17 and will be heading to Maryland for A School (MC-media communications).  We are from Michigan and will be driving to GL for PIR.  Not sure where we'll be staying while there, I'm still looking into my options.  I was thinking Springhill Suites since there will be at least seven in our party.

Oh, yes, forgot to say that my SR is in DIV 17, also.

My son will be staying in GL...04/018
My son is ship 4 div 017. A school in Groton, Connecticut.

Hi all,

Did anyone get calls this weekend , my son called me last weekend and said he would call every weekend , but today no call. Does anyone know how they are doing?

My son is 04/018

....And will be staying in GL for 4 extra weeks after graduation for A school before moving on

Yes, I hope we get calls tomorrow, would be nice maybe during Chaplin visits.

My son , said that he still has to pass running he is over by 30 seconds , so he too looks forward to extra PT time. His tone of voice sound like he was exhausted but he was in very good spirits.

I just think about my baby all the time, this is the longest we ever been apart . Yet , I am so proud of him.

Thank you!  Good luck , and God bless your son also with all his training....and that he gets to MOVE A LOT!

robmomma.   I got two calls from my SR.  One on Sunday and again Wednesday.  He said they got an extra call for good behavior.   Mine is a "Stick" in 04/018.  He said they seem to keep getting in trouble quite a bit because the guys won't quit talking.   go figure.  I hope you get a call this week!!!  It's so wonderful to hear my SR's voice.  So positive and strong.

My son also mentioned it on the phone and in letters that some of his brothers talk to much. Lol I told him not to follow along and he says " Mom were brothers, a team so if one does wrong we all hear it." That made me laugh because it reminded me of his middle school years when he would blame things like that on class mates. Miss him so much....I cant wait to see him.
