My son was on meds for ADD for 6 yrs (stopped in 10th grade) He is now 24 and about to go to MEPS. After turning in all medical/dental/school records, the recruiter says we now need pharmacy records from the time he was on meds. Really? The beginning and ending dates are in his medical records already! The pharmacy we used during those years is now closed and I am making phone call after phone call trying to get a letter from the company that bought them out to say the records no longer exist. Is this the experience others have had? By the way, this is my first post here - hoping I did it right!

They want to make sure that you didn't use another doctor to get medication, or not tell them about other medications he was taking. As to the pharmacy being closed, I've honestly never heard of that being an issue before! Has your son spoken to his recruiter about the situation?

Thanks - I had not thought of that issue - going to a different doctor at the same time.I know they are just trying to be thorough. This pharmacy in our small town was purchased by a large franchise pharmacy in 2008. The corporate office is so large that I am having trouble getting the letter the recruiter wants. While I feel confident I can be persistent enough to get this letter, I just had not heard of this request before. Thanks for helping me see it from a different angle!
