Hello Everyone!

My son arrived at Boot camp on Tuesday 12-9-14 and I received his box this week. Although he graduated from college and was living away from home when he left for Boot Camp. I miss him dearly, and at the same time I am so proud of him and the choices he has made. I pray day and night that all goes well for him and he graduates as scheduled his PIR date is 2/06/14. I have sent two postcards to him and I'm currently writing some more. I just want to encourage him and keep his spirits up and make certain that he knows how proud we all are of him !

That's great that you are encouraging him but it's best if you do it in a letter or card as you don't want to call any undue attention to your SR by sending postcards

Thank you Mamma D for the heads up on the postcards. I will definitely make sure not to send those. I actually meant to say greeting cards, because that is what I sent him one for encouragement and one for Christmas in an envelope. However after reading your post I feel awful about what I wrote on the outside of the envelop. I  put big initials on the backside of the flap SWAK ( sealed with a kiss).  I probably shouldn't have done that and I hope I didn't cause him too much trouble for that.  :( . But I will steer clear of anything like that going forward.

Thanks Again,

Eve

Lol you are not the first to write on the envelope he probably got teased a little! It's best to just send plain white envelopes, no glitter or musical cards when my son was in BC I read that a recruit received a musical card and the whole division had to do push ups until the battery went dead in the card lol.

Thanks Mamma D ... You made me feel a whole lot better.  I love these groups.

Thank you B's Mom.. I think I  am part of that group as well, still trying to learn how to navigate on this site.
