Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 085 and 086

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Welcome my son is in group 085. And his birthday is February 5 so it will be a great birthday gift.

Hello Allensmom,

My son is in Div 086 .With regard to you son's Birthday, that would be an amazing gift. I'm so excited and pray that they all hang in there and get through BC. I am so looking forward to seeing my son at PIR.

Hi, my son is also in Div 085. His birthday is 1/29.

That Is Awesome Tylerbmom another one with a wonderful gift for his Birthday PIR. I wonder if our Children are getting to know one another. I would love to hear my son's voice I can't wait to get a call from him. I just hope all is well and he is hanging in there.

I hope thay you get to talk to your son soon. We have gotten two phone calls and it was great to hear his voice. He did have to buy a new calling card because the one that we sent with him did not work.

Thank you Tylerbmom,

I just sent a calling card to him last week in hopes that I hear from him for the New Year! I have my phone attached to me at all times and check it every 5 minutes. I know pathetic... but I will be so relieved I hope, when I hear his voice. That is if he doesn't cry. Because if he is crying I will be so worried on the inside while trying to be strong for him on the outside and support him to push through and hang in there. I just I want to tell him I love him and miss him and I'm so Proud of him. He is my Hero !

Hi There, my son is in Division 085 as well. My son called and was a little under the weather about a week ago.

I'm so happy to hear about your Phone call Yay !  I hear that they are all under the weather it is below freezing up there. I hope he feels better ! Have you booked flight and hotel reservations yet?

I have been going through the site to see if I find more useful information that may be of help. I came across this link regarding phone cards and phone calls  privileges pretty interesting. http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/phone-cards-and-phon...

Phone Cards and Phone Calls

If your recruit did not take a phone card to Boot Camp, you can send one when you write. Your recruit will need a calling card to make any calls other than the "I'm here!" call or calls for information or if there is a problem. Your recruit will receive a calling card in his/her ditty bag and is also able to purchase one at the NEX. (See the info in page 1 of the Family Guide at http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/fam_guide.asp.)

You can get free calling cards (actually a phone number and PIN) at http://callsforrecruits.org/. Recruit Man - Ronny

Hi,

Our sailor is in ship 14 / division 086.

Hello navystepmom1  have you received a phone call aside from the initial I arrived call from your SR? I'm wondering how they are all doing? Did your SR have a difficult transition period is it getting better? I'm dying to hear from my son and don't want to miss his call. I'm so Happy I found someone else who has a SR in the same ship and unit ? If I hear anything from my son I will notify you and keep you all posted.

Navystepmom1 how exciting and cool is that our sailors are in same division and same ship ! I wonder if they know one another I know it's still a large amount of sailors but you never know. Is your sailor staying at GL for A school or flying out ?
