Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 087 and 088

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in div 88, anyone else get a call yesterday?

Hi Tammy,

My son is in DIV 88 also, I recieved a phone call from him on Saturday. I still have not recieved his form letter. He sounded really good very excited to be there. Now I'm just working on getting us plane tickets!

My boyfriend is in 087 and got a call yesterday.

My son is in div 087...
I am waiting his phone call.
My son is on ship 12 div 087 and we are still waiting on his phone call as well.
My Son is Div 087 - no call yet. Just received my first letter from him yesterday.
Hi~ everyone
My son is in div 087.
I got 2 letters from him yesterday.
He wrote those on 12/25 and 12/28.
His div got navy working uniforms and boots before Christmas.
The day .. All future sailors were first allowed to wear
the uniforms they supper excited and they ran to the bathroom
to look at themselves in the mirror.
The mention makes me smile.
And he got a chance to make a phone call on 12/27 but the phone
Card wasn't working. We know about this..so disappointed.
So the NEX(navy exchange) "made" them buy a $5 phone card for
The people who had the Same problem.
So everybody got in line at the nex which is attached to the
Telephone center to buy a new phone card but his petty officer said
he had to leave before he could buy one and call.. So sad.
But he and My family know we are gonna have to get used to it
With a career in the navy...
I wish he has a another chance soon.
I just got a phone call from my son.

My son is in div 88.  I heard from him a week ago on Saturday 12/27.  I have received two letters in addition to the form letter.  He seems to be doing really well.  He's not too thrilled about being in an integrated division. (haha).  He is the Yeoman for his division and seems to like that.  He said he had done his fair share of pushups but was mentally and physically prepared for BC.  It helps that his twin just went through it this fall.  He will head to Pensacola after PIR.

Ship 12 Div 087?  that is my son's division.  i would like to connect with some other mom's from that group.  thanks!

Our son is in Ship 12, Div 88. Our plane tickets are bought and hotel reservations made. We will be flying into O'Hare on Thursday, 2/5/2015, from Portland Or.

My daughter is on the same Ship and Div i haven't got my plane tickets, can i ask how much were your tickets? We are in Washington State :)
