Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 111-112

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good morning! My son is in Div. 112. When I spoke to him Saturday he said things were going well but they get in trouble and have to wakee up at 5AM and do pushups. Not sure what they are getting in trouble for but hopefully they will get it together.

My boyfriend is in Div 111. Got call sat, was very exhausted and down. Hope it's getting better.

Hi everyone! My son is in Div 112. He said he has made some good friends already. That makes me happy, because I know he is misses everyone back home. He also said they were going to remove his wisdom teeth. :(

Hi everyone...My son is division 111. He called Saturday too and said they were having some trouble getting things together. Too many people talking when they shouldn't and not doing things well as a team. He didn't say anything about push ups though. He seemed in pretty good spirits and was making plenty of friends he said.  I guess we'll find out more when letters start arriving home this week. Can't wait!!

Hello fellow 111-112 moms! My son is in division 112. I'm so happy to have found this sight and meet you via internet. My son has called once (we missed his initial phone call to let us know he arrived) and has sent two lengthy letters. He got his wisdom teeth out last Monday and seems to be healing well. Talks about his division mates and bunk mates. T is very outgoing so I'm sure your sons and daughters have already gotten to know him well. Looking forward to getting to know each of you!
Hello, Moms!

My son is 111, when he called last Saturday he seemed in good spirits. He said they get in trouble a lot because some people are hard to get out of bed, and that they spend a lot of time cleaning the building.
So have you heard any more info? I received a phone call and two awesome letters. This past Monday I got another phone call. He said things are going well but he seemed SO tired and almost sad. I think I read on one of the pages that week four is considered hell week, so I know they are busy with tests and inspections. Curious to hear from all of you what you have heard.

Training Week 4, Hell Week, is the turn around week for them.  It is a very busy week, lots of inspections, up earlier, but also the time when they really start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and work even harder!

Hello Proudnavymom & diannep,

Received letter from our SR. Appears to be in great spirits. Made mention of 2nd physical fitness test. Passed with flying colors and actually performed beter than first test (also passed. Adiitionally mentioned earning a medal! Needless to say, Dad and I quite proud :)

To sum things up, SR in great spirits! Perhaps because finish line is now in sight??? :)

Kindest Regards,

Concerned Mom & Dad
Got a letter today!!! So excited
What's it say they are doing? Or is it all personal? I'm dying for info here!
Well, this is it! We should hopefully be getting our "I'm Sailor" calls this week. If anyone receives theirs, Please post here.
