Hi Marie,

My son is stationed at Pt. Hueneme, although he did his A school in Gulfport. He has been at PH for a while now and really likes it. Do you know his job, company or battalion?

Trish

Hi Marie!!! My daughter will be heading to to her A school for Seabee Builder in Mississippi. :-( I am hoping to connect with a Mom whose child will be attending there as well. Good luck to your boy and let's stay in touch! What ship/div is he in at BC?
My son graduates this month & will head to MS for Seabee school. He's Ship 14 Div 111

My daughter just arrived at A school in MS for Seabee builder.  Is your son there now?

My son is in ship 4, division 125 in bootcamp. He will be a construction mechanic, CM, and head to port hieneme in March. This military/navy speak and life is completely new to me. He will be assigned to a battalion once he graduates, right? His ship and division in boot camp dont follow him further, do they? Thanks so much for your help
Hi Marie, my son is in Texas doing his A school for CB Electrician. He should graduate on April 29 and then off to who knows where? Still has to go through C school (combat training) after A school not sure when he will be able to come home for a visit. He lives in a room with another sailor that was in his division at bootcamp so was good to have a buddy with him. Not too many navy guys in Texas at the base he's at, but has made lots of new Air Force friends! He can talk and text but it's very intense training with classes and hands on. Not a lot of down time, still has to go to muster, and do guard duty every other weekend. Classes are long and intense only a short time to learn all he has to. He has to pass stages to get privileges like wearing civilian clothes and going off base, which he has and studies a lot! Good luck to your son, you will truly enjoy PIR if you are going to that, it was the most proudest moment as a parent that I can remember! Enjoy what time you will have with him before he leaves! Good luck to him

I guess I'm not at the stage of C school yet, but will learn of that in due course.  I will of course be going to PIR (from FL) as will his dad and my son's girlfriend, guess that means I have to share my time with the girlfriend too, lol.  Hope I get to spend some time with all of us together.

Thanks so much, hoping that there are some others going to PH from Great Lakes but he waited in DEP for almost 8 months for this job rating.

My son just graduated from RTC. He arrived at P H yesterday but his A school does not start for a couple of weeks. What will he be doing mean while?
I'd like to know the answer to buffie's question too. My son will be at PH end of March after PIR
Thanks for the info Andrea.....so much to learn
Yes my son is still there. He graduates in June. He graduated from BC 3/8 he has been at P H since then but his A school just started this week.

My son just graduated A school as a CM in PH.  He is a part of the Beach Masters Unit and will be heading to San Diego for two years.  Everyone had told me his next stop would be in Gulf port for combat training but he proved that to be wrong.  However, it does seem that the majority of them do go to Gulf Port for combat training and are in a battalion. All the same, he loved it at PH and is proud to be a Seabee.  Best of luck to you and your son on his new adventure with the Navy!  I'm sure you are one proud mom!
