Hello All,
My husband is currently at A- School for LS (Logistics Specialist). He has been seeing a lot of Sailors in his rate being sent overseas after A-school.
We recently found out that unless he is E-4 or above, in the chance that he is stationed overseas, he will have unaccompanied orders.
My question is, what is the likelihood that a married sailor will get orders overseas for his first PCS?

Look on the bright side: If he is seeing a lot of Sailors being sent overseas after A school, they are filling the billets that you two don't want, increasing the chance of his getting INCONUS orders.

Good point CryptoDad :-)

We'll get through it either way. I was just wondering the statistics on it. Lol. I'm all about research.

The only people who could give you a good estimate of LS billets CONUS vs OCONUS out of the 8500 total LS Sailors would be the Navy Personnel  Command in Millington TN. But you aren't likely to find them here. It all comes down to the needs of the Navy at the time your husband needs orders. The odds are on your side. Hope for the best.

The Navy tries not to send married junior sailors overseas, but that doesn't mean they don't.  Yes, he would be unaccompanied.

There are more bases and billets in the US, just keep your fingers crossed and hope his dream sheet is taken seriously.  Good luck!
