Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 241 and 242

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yay ... Got my flights, hotel and rental car. I am all set and super excited !!
By the way did anyone from this div see their child on Facebook yesterday ? I'm pretty sure I saw my son but they all look so much alike !

Hi, my son is in div 241. How do we look at pics on FB? I just joined Navy for Moms today so I'm still finding my way around. Thanks!

Go to U.S Navy Recruit Training Center on Facebook. They have a page. Sometimes in the picture, you can see the division number. They will go through the whole division from the flag bearers to the end.

Navy mom, My son is in DIV 242. I have not seen any pics of that or 241 yet. Have you?

Janie

Ours is 242 and we haven't seen any either. :(

I looked through all of the pictures but I didn't see my son. I'm not giving up though. I check frequently for new pictures. :)

I haven't seen any pics from 242 or 241.

I think I saw my son.   He is tall 6'5" and wears glasses.   He kind of stands out.    I think I saw him yesterday but for sure saw him in the other random pictures.

I sure looked and there were a couple possibilities but no positive identification in the photos posted yesterday. Has anyone received a personal letter? Not that I'm anxious or anything!

No letter here.  I'm hoping today.   My son isn't a letter writer so I'm hoping the RDC makes him write.   The mailman is also hoping he will write as I started stalking his route and now threatening to go through the whole mail truck.   Thankfully he has a son in the Army so he understands how mothers of military kids  are.    Good luck with getting one today.

No letters, my son is in DIV 242. I talked to him on Saturday and he said Sunday would be the first oppurtunity he would have to write. He asked for me to send him sports clippings. Sounded very tired and a little down.  This is his first time away from home also.

Good day to all..  my son is in Div 241 -  Got a brief (maybe a minute) phone call today from him, he said he didn't have much time but he's been writing but hasn't gotten to mail letters yet.  He didn't sound like himself, probably because of the short time he had to talk.  Anybody else in this division got call or letters?
