My husband is currently in schooling, I moved down to be with him at the beginning of schooling. His schooling is so long it is considered a PCS. We will be moving to our new PCS in April and although it's early I have many questions. I'm pregnant with my first baby which is due 2 months before we have to move. Along with being a first time mommy I will be doing my first PCS move!

Does the Navy pay for the movers? How about to ship our 1 vehicle? Do they set up the move or is that our responsibility? Id love as many details on this as anyone could tell me!!!

Where do our belongings end up when we move? Because we won't have a house picked out and ready for us I'm assuming? I'm really so new to all of this and it is very frustrating to think we will have to be temporarily living in a hotel with a newborn (and our baby room being packed up including crib)....

Any advice for those navy wives who have been through this is MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! Thank you

Sorry I've been offline for a week or so ... your husband will contact the Personal Property Office to set up the movers, paid for by the Navy.  They do not ship vehicles, if you want it there, you drive it yourself or pay to have is shipped.

The Navy will store your household goods for up to three months, no charge, until you are ready to have them delivered.  They will unpack and take away the boxes too.
