I too am so happy you and Ed are coming and also happy to hear that you are feeling better.  Inexpensive hotel in San Diego, no way.  Homewood Suites is near the base.  peace

cogurr, it will be great to see you and I am so glad you are feeling better! I just needed a rough count so we know how many tables to save. We are also bringing our camp chairs.  This is very relaxed and low key. I asked everyone to bring their own picnic lunch and something to share if they want. You could bring utensils for your shared dish..

Does anybody know of an inexpensive, but decent hotel/motel in San Diego?  My newly married niece (2 weeks) is not yet able to live with her sailor husband, but wants to visit him this weekend.  Navy Lodge is full :-(

I hope it is not too late to RSVP.  Ed and I would like to attend.  I have been very sick from chemo, so did not want to commit, but have finally turned the corner and feel good.  I would like to bring a pasta salad.  Should I bring paper plates and forks, too?
