Thanks everyone for welcoming me and for such great info. I'm so excited and emotional at the same time. Ready for my daughter to start her journey and know this site will help both of us.

Thank you for including me. My son arrived at Great Lakes yesterday (7/21). How do I know when his PIR is? And how do I find out his division number?

Hi Tiffany,

I was in your beautiful state, recently, for an Army reunion with my boyfriend, who had quite an illustrious 20 year career, including earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and a Bronze Star. You are very fortunate to live in one of my fav, lovely forestd states in the U.S.

I am a very proud of my boyfriend's service to our country and my sailor's as well, especially cuz my sailor is one of the apples of my eye. :) I also have a great deal of respect and admiration for them. I am a bit of a newbie to being an extra patriotic person, which started when my sailor joined the Navy.

My sailor's commrade from her last deployment emailed me stating, as far as he knew, I had been the the most supportive parent of all, sending good sized shipments to them from my church's mil. fam. support group and spending a great deal of time writing supportive, bad$!# poems about their bad$!# crew, lol.

Getting to my point, you can see why I am earnestly concerned why I have a rather large and obvious bright red "DELETE" button in the upper right corner of a recent post. I could only guess it may be a hint from N4M for me to delete my post.

Can you explain what this button may mean? Has my post already been deleted or am I supposed to delete the post myself, or is it a form of a warning? And why?

I have used a profile name of a childhood friend, not my own. I have not mentioned exactly where, when, or who type of info. The poem I mentioned was about slang terms and acronyms, like "Mom, if you could mention my OHO and Gunboss, they would really like that", said my "magrat" . The food ideas (I figure to help ward off potential PTSD or rather commonly faced, mild depression, for my sailor and her commrades as well) had no brand names included.

Maybe I simply inadvertantly hit a button that brought up the imbeded bold delete button & being not so good at techy stuff I'm clueless. If you could advise me of how to contact in a "private" manner, that would be helpful, as well.

Being disabled and confined to my bed the majority of the time I DO look to electronic past times as something I can still do. So for many reasons, I do not want mess things up with a cool social site such as this. It seems this new-to-me site, or Facebook page, can offer great support for a single Mom, like me, who is rather isolated from much of my world and family, and who is missing her sailor sorely-- a sailor who, she and her commrades are "out there", while so much is conflict is going on now.

I feel I may have some warmth and friendship to offer as well, Tiffany, so if you could explain to me if there is something in particular I should do to correct an imperfect m.o., that would be great. I just don't want to be at a status of being given "one more chance" then eventually kicked off.

If I need to "move my post" to another forum, or something like that, I could use a brief explanation of how to do so. I tried reading the guidelines of this sight, as it may show, and that hasn't helped me.

Sorry, if I seem long-winded, but I thought of just saying, "What's up with this delete buttton"?-- yet folks can easily think you have a poor attitude, cuz they simply can't understand where you're coming from, due to the fact of no body language, or no instant back and forth communication, as when speaking in person.

Thanks, in advance, for your help, your patience, and your understanding. This looks to me like a good and interesting F/b page. I look forward to hearing from you, Tiffany, and I apologize, in advance, if I haven't'"gotten it" properly, being a newbie, here.

P.S. The post I am referring to is from yesterday, in the "comments" section, just before my post telling the Dad, here, I liked his comment on his son potentially asking for goods just so they'll come out of the DAD'S bank account instead. ;)

Thanks so much for adding me. My son is getting ready to take his first physical in 2 weeks. And I'm guessing after he passes that he will officially be joining the Navy. Then we will begin waiting for boot camp. I've already found lots of good info on this sight. Thank you!
