Hello. My son left for boot camp April 15. I have not received box or letter since he left. I received a short call on April 22 requesting some documents and I tried to speak to him but all he could tell me he has not started boot camp but he sounded good. I did receive the 30 second call. I am worried. Whatever happened to the box. He wanted to ship back his headphones and cellphone.?????????? Since I needed to fax some documents he only gave me his division # which is 212, no ship number.

Thanks for the approval. I am a new Navy mom. My daughter is currently in Great Lakes, IL for her basic training. I was skiddish about her joining. She's the baby and only girl, but I am proud of her. I look forward to using the site to be encouraged and to encourage. I have already gotten a lot of helpful information from others on here. Thank you again for approval.

Tiffany, Good morning this is the first available time I have had to really take a chance to browse this site. My Son Christopher is supposed to leave on September 9th for GL, 2 days before his birthday on 9.11  I am so hoping this site can guide me. my sons choice had a shock effect on me being that he was accepted to a college with an articulated program to Columbia University. He has been a source of strength for our family being the youngest with the nickname of "Rock" Our family is proud of Christopher and support him in anything he chooses to do in his life, I on the other hand am so very worried and scared. I am so hoping to gain knowledge here that can help me get thru this time, I just knot know what to expect.

Hi,  I'm a new Navy mom.  Our son left for Basic April 7.  The military is a totally new experience for our family.  Our son graduated from college in Dec and still had a strong desire to join the Navy.  I guess the best way to describe how our family felt was pride but also scared and sad at the same time.  Family togetherness definitely takes a turn with this, but we are proud of him.  Haven't heard from him yet but very anxious to hear his voice or get a letter.  I'm grateful for this website so I can learn more.

Thank you all for your support. I have heard from my son who arrived to his destination today. He gave me instructions and what to expect. A very nice girl loaned him her cel phone. He packed his up. Lol. Stay safe.
