Thank you so much. I haven't yet experienced the fear and pain of my son that won't happen until March 4, 2015...but I know it is coming, so I am glad to connect with others who have gone through it already!

Thank you so son left on September 9, 2014 and I have been on an emotional roller coaster ever since.  I have enjoyed reading the blogs and have found them to be very informative.  This has proven to be a very tough journey for me and I look forward to the day when I can be as happy as the vast majority of the N4M members.

Thanks much for the add! My world will be ripped from beneath my feet come March 17th. My babygirl is my entire world, the breath I breathe and I am happy to find a place to keep up with what she's going through and talk to others feeling the same way I do. She is hoping to eventually become a pilot, but is starting out as an Aircrewman. She will have many trials as she isn't the best swimmer, and has always hated water in her face, but I know she can do it and she will really grow as a person.

Tiffany, thank you for the welcome.  I am sure this will help me out a lot since we just received word that my daughter will be leaving Sept 24th instead of Feb 11,2015.  It was a shock to us that it had been moved, but I have to support her every step of the way.  Looking forward to explore more of this website.

Thank you, my son dropped this link in an email two days ago. His way of letting me know he is joining. Look forward to absorbing all the information I can. Not necessarily new to the Navy, two nephews currently active and a retired Navy brother. But when it is your baby it is slightly different. Particularly when they choose a dangerous job :/ Thank you again.
