Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 818 and 819

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Got my first personal letter today, it was so nice to finally hear from him even though it was written before our phone call Saturday. Praying for all our guys!!

Does anyone know what training day Division 818 is on?

Hello, My son is in an 800 division and will PIR on 10/04. My older son has 2 out of 6 years left. He is in Cali. I wanted to say "hello". I have been through this journey before, I thought it would be easier the second time, not sure about that yet.

I hope you are all having a great weekend!

I know how you feel. It was the same here. His GF got many letters, We got one. I too am trying to understand, as I really like his GF a lot. Still hard though, I am all about sharing, but really?

Well just over 4 weeks, no calls but 2 letters.  He sounds good other than going through the bootcamp sickness.  Luckily his molars were pulled over the summer so he did not have to go through that.

I am ok not getting calls if I get a letter once a week.  I know how busy they are and I want him completely focused (:

For a call from 819 tonight, they are day 3-1 and doing great!!
Got a call from my SR 819! All is good:)

Got a call from my SR as well. AWESOME!

Thanks so much, done!! I appreciate the heads up, don't want to cause any trouble :)

OneProudMomma-I understand , I just happened to read it elsewhere.  If I find the post I will link it here.  I think one of the "Veteran Mom's on this site posted to message her when we know a BS date for our divisions.  She is tracking them and will let us know when we can expect the "I'm a Sailor" call.  I can't wait and I'm sure you feel the same way!  My son is in Div 818, I've asked him to send me the date for BS but don't know if I'll get it.

Isn't this website great, the moms who have been through this are so incredibly helpful.  Have a great trip to Chicago!

Hope everyone is doing well. The weeks are flying by and soon you will be hugging your new sailors. Such a proud day for all of you.

Got letter from SR today, he sounds positive and no mention of being sick in this letter, soooo hopefully he has gotten over the crud (:  Oh oh oh... I am a Nonna (:  My first grandbaby arrived sunday, grandparents day.  She is beautiful, tons of dark hair and I got to help bring her into the world. It was amazing!!!

My older sailor takes oral boards thurs and will be a qualified nuke.  Its been a good week!!!!
