I just received the form letter and have read alittle about the 900's. Sounds cool except we don't watch them march in on PIR. At least that's what I read.I guess my son is part of the Ship staff/Honor Guard.

Hi helen my son is also in this division. I also see that they will work the prior 2 PIRs. Maybe will get a glimpse of them.

Hi my name is Natasha. My son is in this Division as well .

I see other divisions are calling today...But on Saturdays, I think they practice the PIR routine. Hoping for a phone call tomorrow...crossing my fingers.  If anyone hears from their recruit, please let the rest of us know that they are able to call at least. Some maybe on watch or SIQ (sick in quarters).

Well, I am sticking close to the phone today. Good luck to you all in getting a phone call today.

Also, received my first letter from him.  He sounded a little bored but in good spirits...Hope the phone call goes well, too.

Ok he called...it was good to be able to just talk. Sounds good.

I got my letter on Friday my son seemed a little bored to :)

Got you got a letter. hoping for another one this week.  Did you hear from him?

not yet, I keep checking the mail. He said he sent me 4 -5 letters. Snail mail!

Ok so I see this is a quiet division.  Well, anyone going to the PIR?  I am planning on it.  We are a small group...Thought we might to do something to show support for the division.  I know they will working at the PIR.  I will staying at the Navy Lodge. Maybe a group dinner and hear their stories.  Men talk better in groups...lol  Any ideas?

My Husband, parents and I are attending. We are staying at Springhill Suites. The lodge was booked up. We live in Catskills of New York and my parents are coming from KY. We were planning on going to Sarges Meet and Greet but I don't see one for our PIR. My husband is retired Army so we aren't familiar with any Navy traditions. My son said he is in the center by doors where head guys come thru. Guess that could change too.

Glad to see you and your family can make the PIR...We are from Maine, so I'll be traveling thru NY...lol  You will be able to see your son on the PIRs in the weeks before as a sideboy...that's awesome.  Mine stated he will be stationed by the bleachers & rails.  Thinking, he will be harder to spot. But, I will be looking on PIR 8/7 and 8/14 during the live feed.  Hope they posts some recruits pic on FB soon.  They hadn't posted since they have arrived.

I know! I keep checking for new pic's too. My son said he is aware of a photographer and that he hasn't taken any pic yet. I'm excited we can see our sons 2 weeks before! If we miss the live feed I think it's recorded right? My son said he walked thru the tunnel to get to the phones and had to sing anchors away! Did you see the video on FB for it?!
