I saw my husband nights and weekends. You can go to base and visit her too. Her first week she'll have something called indoc and that's from 6 to 4. Then after that she could be on hold and then she does ATT which is from like 8 to 4 I think? Liberty drops at 4 so as long as she doesn't have watch or have to study you can see her.

Yes, but depending on her schedule, you could meet her on base for meals, or she could come home for dinner during the week.  It won't be strictly no contact, just very limited.  

Right now, begin a file with important papers.  That will always travel with you.  Start sorting your stuff, throw away, sell or donate anything which is marginal.  Get our car in traveling shape, check with your insurance to see if you have roadside assistance.  You MUST have a car to get her Live Ashore approved (last I heard).  

Call the PPO (personal property office) at Great Lakes and ask for the DIY move information, so she can file the paperwork for you to be properly reimbursed.  

Now I'm excited for you!

So for the first 30 days I would be alone in the house except weekends? Sorry don't mean to be a pain just super excited about this

Like Anti M saod, the live ashore chit for her ship can't be put in until phase 2. But you can start the process with the school. Or she can.

Chris, you can definitely move up here. Friend and message me if you need info, I just moved here 4 months ago with my sailor and he's aecf. She can start the process at phase 1 but can't move in until phase 2. 30 days. But the paperwork for live ashore takes that long anyway.

@Chris ... AECF?  One of the few long enough to bring a spouse.  Her orders should say whether a dependent move is authorized.  If you have access to her orders, and potentially a POA, you can begin the process.  Otherwise, she has to initiate it once she checks into her school.  She does have to wait until phase two of liberty to put in the Live Ashore chit. Once she is out of boot camp, the staff at TSC can guide her on how to arrange your move, who to talk to, which offices to go to to start the paperwork.

Hi Brooke- when my husband left to bootcamp the copies of my SS card, license and birth certificate were all copied too dark. While he was at bootcamp he called me and told me I needed to send him a copy of all my stuff and it had to be re copied and lightened. He told me I could either have it notarized (I think that costs about $30) or he said I could go back to his recruiters office and the would stamp it and sign it for me. I'm not sure if you are close to his recruiters office still but maybe you could go in to the office and ask them and see if they can stamp it for you and sign it. I think it's better to have it stamped when you first turn in the info rather than having to resend the paperwork to your husband and waiting longer for everything to get set up :)
