For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

They did away with stickers in Pensacola, Norfolk, and Jacksonville, FL. I'm not sure where you're going though. I've never been asked for registration or insurance other than when we first got to our new duty station. Now, it's just ID depending on where you are. We're Navy!

Anti M, We have the registration and insurance in the car!! I don't know anyone who doesn't... lol. Thanks Vee, we are doing this from Ft. Sam so I'm sure it will be the same process. I'll talk this over with him and let you know if I have any other questions :) Thanks so much!!

Hi Bronco14. My husband and I did that from Corpsman school two weeks ago. He needs his car registration and proof of insurance as well as his drivers license. The car registration and proof of registration however has to be in his name. I was driving over so we took mine first since its the car we were going to use anyway, however whoever was in the office rejected that and said they needed a car in his name. So we ended up shipping his car over, me flying over then the two of us driving to his command. Let me know if you have any other follow up questions.

The car's registration and proof of insurance should always be with the car! We have to keep copies in the glovebox at all times. He will need proof of insurance to get it on base, and to get a base sticker (Navy still does those). He does need something to show he is on the insurance, and in addition, I've seen them ask for proof he has permission to be driving someone else's car. It might vary by base.

Thanks NavyWife2011. He's under the impression that he needs to show that he himself has insurance. But if he drives his car that's in someone else's name, the insurance card won't have his name on it even though he's insured. They did mention that they'd accept an email that shows he is on the insurance instead of the real insurance card itself.

My husband's car was in my FIL's name. Is it saying he needs the insurance cards or insurance in general?

I hope your question gets answered. My husband flew to A school and didn't get his car until we moved to our first duty station, but I would think he would need car registration as well. We have the car registration and insurance cards in our car at all times.
