LoriS -  yes I would be coming from Arizona.  I plan to fly into Providence RI, seems to be ccheaper flying there than to Hartford and it is only 46 miles from Groton.  I don't want to sound dumb,  but what is BESS

Oh goodie! An expert! So, how much closer exactly? I'm picturing an hour from Harford versus 3 hours fro Boston driving times difference. Does that sound about right? If it is more than that, I will have to reevaluate my plans.
Thanks for the help!

Yes Hartford is much closer! I grew up in CT :)

Hartford is closer. I know that Virgin only flies into Boston. I know that my son had at least one layover when he flew last time. Added a ton of time, but he booked late as he was waiting for leave.
Yeah, I thought it WAS/IS great and I still need to book. This weekend I hope.
Hartford is one hour away, and Boston is further. But they are used to east coast distances, and we are used to driving Ca distances.
I hope to see some Fall color, Plimouth Plantation, Boston, and the Eastern Seaboard when we go. So excited!

Lorie, she is flying out of Arizona. At least I assume so based on her state. We can fly Virgin Air to Boston for $340 round trip, at least on Oct. 5th. It varies depending on the day. Boston is a little out of the way, but I will do it to 1) fly Virgin Air and 2) it's a direct flight.

I checked on Southwest from San Francisco and couldn't find a non-stop flight. We might have to fly out of Oakland or San Jose, but SFO is much easier for me.

I am waiting to find out when my guy graduates for sure, but he said for sure it won't be before Oct. 6th, so I think I will get on it as soon as school is out (TOMORROW!!!) finally!!! :-)

Rose-you will need to tell us all about the A school graduation as you will then be our resident expert. LOL

Lovehunt....once he start BESS, at the end is a graduation.  Is very relaxing but very nice, they even stop for you to take pictures.  The other graduation is at the end of A school.
