Wouldn't that be a blast! School is out in THREE days and then I am relatively free, except for a couple of short trips. Count me in!

Oh wow! We are all close. I live and teach on the Peninsula. You guys need to check out the San Francisco/Bay Area Navy Families group. It's a busy group too.

Lorie- I'm close to Sacramento too. We moved up here about 2 years ago from Sonoma County. My son PIRed 5/26.

From what I hear, Master Chief is not granting leave right now for anything other than emergencies. So although they may have leave time accrued, their request for it may or may not be granted. Right now we aren't even sure if my husband's request for a weekend off to attend my sister's wedding in Colorado will be approved. :(

Cheri- My son worked it so he had enough leave to come home for

five days (and that included travel time to and from CA!). I would think maybe a few days, but probably not weeks. LOL

Lorie-sent you a friend request. We are pretty close, especially when the size of the country is considered.

My son is in A school & should graduate Sept 9th!  After BESS, time goes quick.  My son was lucky to be able to class up within a week & a half after ATT & TCNO!  Sometimes he gets bored in Groton but now the weather is better & the beach is right there!

Very Good!!  It will be nice to have a hometown friend there!!  Hope you had a great time in GL!!  Give me a call (or email) when you are ready to grab a soda (or a chocolate shake!).  Looking forward to hearing your stories.

Oh, then I can tell you that he will go through BESS (they do this one together), then to ATT, and TCNO (last two are self paced). This took my son from Jan. to the end of May. Rose's son was much faster, which is why he is a little ahead now.
Then the relocate to a new building where they room with only their A school, where before they were all mixed up roommate-wise.
