My son leaves on the 9th, but we are only a 5 hour drive away, so maybe that accounts for the different date he was given?

My son leaves the week after that from Iowa. Enjoy the time  with your kiddos. Yes, they are adults, but to me they will always be kiddos. :-)

My oldest actally leaves march 7th for Cleveland then 8th for Chicago. Youngest leaves march 14th for Cleveland then march 15th for Chicago
Mine too.

My son is leaving Monday, March 7th. They may be in the same PIR group. Would love any information you may have. I have been reading up on this site and have read some great information. I am taking some time off of work at the end of this month (Feb) to do some errands with my son. Get phone card, open credit union account, help him pack, etc. We have been spending a lot of time together because we know it will be here before we know it. After boot camp, my son will be off to Pensacola, Florida. How about your boys?

My oldest leaves march 7th for boot camp in Chicago and then I think he also goes to Florida for A school. Youngest leaves march 14th for boot camp in Chicago and then A school . But don't know where he's headed for that yet. I'm getting more upset as it gets closer I just don't let my boys see it. Im very proud but will miss them so much

Hi Amy, My son leaves March 8th for boot camp, and I hear what you're saying about getting upset the closer it gets. Like you, I am so proud of my son, but also nervous, scared, excited. I know that this is going to be a wonderful experience for him. Best of luck!

Hi ladies. I hope you are all coping well. This is the last weekend. We are having a going away party for my son tomorrow. Was hoping it would be warm out but we got snow today in NJ. He is almost done packing his boxes for A school. He goes to Cherry Hill, NJ Sunday night for his hotel stay, then off he goes on Monday. March 7th. It came up so quick. he is excited, I am a bit nervous for him. Well, best of luck to us all this weekend as emotions will be crazy.

My son is leaving from MEPS on 3/8/16 also. He will be going to Sub school in CT and then A school I believe. He doesn't want a going away party - just wants to relax at home these last two days. I keep tearing up just thinking about him leaving - I'm going to be a sloppy mess at his swearing him (going to try to keep it together though for his sake - we'll see how that goes LOL). I am so proud of him - just going to miss and worry about him in BC.
Leaving tomorrow for Boot Camp - having dinner with him tonight - my heart is heavy!
My son leaves for Chicago tomorrow and the same as all of you, although I'm very proud of his decision, I'm sad to see him go!!
Well husband is off and I already got my phone call telling me he made it to Great Lakes yup I cried.
