Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Okay. I have to share a story about my niece. We (my whole family) was in the small swimming pool in our yard playing with my niece (Lily, almost 3) and Lafe (1). Well Lily ran to the door and I chased after her wanting to know where she was going. She told me she had to go potty. So I was trying to find a towel to dry her off a lil on the way in. Wellll. I guess I wasn't fast enough. Because before we knew it, she had her whole swimsuit at her ankles and was squatting... on the sidewalk!! I think we all could have died of laughter. All we could do was be thankful the cop didn't drive past and hose off the sidewalk. I guess she learns those boy things from the babysitters. :)

This pink eye isn't get any better. It's getting worse. And the other allergy symptoms are kicking my butt. My "24 hour" claratin pill has only lasted me 10 hours today. :(

When my son was about 1, not walking yet, my daughter would plant her 4 year old butt in the back of his Tonka dump truck and he would push her all over the house in it. It was his 'training walker' and sis got a free ride lol.

Comment by William in Nashua on June 28, 2011 at 11:30pm: I have mentioned this before but if you are in Charleston and want a horse drawn carriage tour of the historic houses, Palmetto Carriage is free of charge for sailors in uniform. It was an excellent tour also.

Comment by quiltblue on June 28, 2011 at 10:37pm: Many different words in our family history "yittle yegs" (little legs), "pasheggti", my FIL's name was Rauley, but was called RS Jr.... when he spoke, everyone thought he was saying "Horace Jr". I have been called "Mrs Piggy" (for Peggy), my daughter was called "Carrot" instead of Carrie... there is nothing better than early language! I have also locked my baby in a running car with all the new groceries loaded inside it at the grocery store... fortunately a store manager was able to call my husband and his boss drove him home to get the other car key and then to the store to unlock our car. The baby slept through the whole event, I was a nervous wreck for 45 minutes!
