The air travel is rather crazy.  We are going to visit our sailor this Thurs.  Have a stop over/plane change in Philidelphia traveling from MN to SC both going down and comming home.  The price is what made the decision.  With the package air fare was 395.00 but we fly out 6:45AM.  So EXCITED  to spend the weekend with our guy not to mention getting away from the snow and cold.

@Diana, I hope all goes well and graduation is wonderful for you.  Mine graduates in 3 weeks from A school..he can't wait, but as you said, it seems to have been a very long month (couple of months for me).  But so proud of all the young men and women there at GC!  Enjoy your time with your sailor!  I can't wait to see mine in a few more weeks!

Sometimes things don't go as well as we would like.  Sometimes it isn't the big no-no's like underage drinking and the like, instead it is a series of little things that add up that could bring our kids close to losing what they want most, to be a Nuke Sailor.  It has been a difficult month being a mom on the sidelines.  Thankfully, Monday is Comp day and my sailor should graduate A School on Friday.  I am so looking forward to him coming home and seeing him next Saturday.

wow...this group is wonderful!  You all have great information!  I had no ideas about the villas, so will be checking them out!  I've not been able to visit SC yet, but we are excited about going-whenever that may be-hopefully in the next few months.

Now, a question...as for the getting married part...my son is wanting to get married in Dec after his power graduation...we are a tad bit leary cause him and his girlfriend are so young, we'd like then to wait a little while.  Anyway, for the getting permission..they still have to ask permissiion even after power school..is that correct?  If they do go ahead and get married, I'll probably have loads of questions in the next few months about the housing, and all that stuff.

MichiMom, I just got done talking to my son and he said he would go to talk to the Villa people about availibility.  I hope there is some!  Sharon-I told him how concerned I was about the "shouldn't be" and he said "Mom, if worse comes to worse, I just don't get overnight liberty".  SO I guess that's true, he'd have liberty for the weekend, just maybe not overnight liberty.  WHich would suck for him, lol!  I feel a little better.  I did a quick check on airfare and it's $600+ per ticket, and not an easy task to get there.  If anyone has any advice/experience on fying in I'd take it!  Thanks everyone!

Michpad, don't worry about the wording. I remember when Diego told his uppers that he would be getting married and they too said "it shouldn't be a problem." Though they didn't get married in SC, they got married in MI. on 22 December. Diego left for BC on 22 September and who would have thought a mere three months later he and Kelsey would be married. lol It has all worked out and we can't wait to travel to GC in June when our two K's get out of school. Diego will graduate "A" school on 03 June, but we won't be making it. We will have to wait for Power School graduation, we hear that one is more and the "one" to attend. Good luck with the wedding plans, it is a world wind, but so much fun too!! Enjoy every moment, it will go by much too fast!!
