~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

hi mic_from_cam

so great to hear that your wedding was AMAZING! i love weddings. I was a wedding coordinator volunteer at my church for a while and it was so rewarding to work with the couples and see it all come together on the wedding day!

You are right, doesn't make sense to move to Norfolk although I'm sure you'd do anything to be with your hubby! But it is getting closer to the big move!

Don't know if you knew but my daughter was Undes. and last week she got picked up for the rate she struck for and I am so happy for her! she is so ready to move on and especially looking forward to Spain as well!

I know right, we just might bump into each other one of these days! until then, take care!

Leach73...the wedding was AMAZING!! I am still in shock that it went so smoothly and perfectly! I will not be moving to Norfolk. We decided that it did not make sense to have me move twice. Instead, I am waiting to move to Spain. I am moving in April, whoop whoop. But I am going to visit my husband (yay) next month :) Maybe we will be there around the same time. Your daughter is on the same ship as my sailor I believe, so maybe we will be seeing each other sometime overseas. I know my parents and his are already dying to come visit us over there.

hi mitch7790! I know right!! I look at the calendar and the 19th marks the one year anniversary that my daughter left to bootcamp! Back then I couldn't even imagine what this whole experience would bring for me, my family, and my sailor.

Hawaii!! Awesome! my Sailor is in the east coast in Norfolk and we are also planning to go see her in March! You are right...it is so nice to have contact with our sailors almost on a daily basis! One year down...3 more to go!!

Take care!

Hi Leach!  It's hard to believe that this time last year we were all frantically worrying about our sailors.  Our family is leaving next week to see our guy in Hawaii.  It is nice to be able to talk to him on a regular basis and he seems extremely happy with his choice of career.

Angelina!!! So great to hear from you and that you got to see your bro and have all that fun!! You were in Norfolk the weekend after I was there. My daughter will be coming home for New Years so you know I am looking forward to that! We are all doing well...freezing our butts off here in Chicago but, hey, tis the season and that's what we get for living here. lol!!
I was planning on taking a long weekend trip out to LA after Christmas for a family party but when my Sailor told me she was coming home, I had to ditch my plans for LA. You can't blame me right?

So how is your brother doing? Does he like Norfolk?

Everyone else - hope all is well!!
Take care :)

Oh I can I forget Congrads Mic-from -cam on your marriage!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving missing our Sailors but great. And I did not go shopping on Black Friday.
Leach 73, I am doing great so far, I went to see my little Bro in October. Oct. 23-27 to be exact. I had never been on the East Coast it was Amazingly fun. Went to Washington and Lincoln monument, the White House, and Arlington Cemetery. And yes I got very chocked up at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Pres. Kennedy's grave.Even saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We even did a Halloween attraction called Bennet's Curse in Jessup, MD. But most importantly I got to hold my bro, my SAILOR. Least part I liked I had to fly!!! Do not like flying!! Only thing that got me on the plane was knowing I would be able to hug my Bro.

But how are you? and your family?
Mic- How are you?

and So Happy to hear from everyone. And as always a Big HUG from California!!!

Hello Leach and everyone else. :) Good to hear from you Leach. Been so busy I haven't logged on in a while. Everything is good on my end. Saw my man in September. It was amazing. I was there for 10 days!! Met some people on the ship and got a tour. We also got legally married (YAY)...since the ship is moving to Rota, Spain we had to get moving on paperwork or I would literally miss the boat. But, still having our big church wedding in January :)
Wedding plans are pretty much all done. A bunch of little details left, most cannot do until the week of the wedding.
He will be coming home a week before the wedding so we will have him for New Years and then some.

Hope life is treating everyone well.
