"Somebody was asking about powers of attorney. Before my son left for boot camp, he did a durable general power of attorney which basically gave me power to do everything that might need to be done. Then when he was in Norfolk and getting ready…"
"Gulf Coast Mom, my son and I stayed in a house on Isle of Palms last year when we went to Charleston to visit my sailor son. I can't remember if I got the house through HomeAway.com or VRBO.com, but it was one of those two sites. We…"

My son has also moved to the barge. I didn't know they didn't have heat and hot water. He did say it's roomier than the sleeping quarters on the…"

"Joyce, that brought tears to my eyes.
I've got a question for you moms that have been to homecoming before. My son just met up with the ship a month or so ago, and he told me in an e-mail that he thinks he'll have duty the day of…"
my husband kind of went about the military "backwards"... We both went to and graduated from A&M (class of 00) and then he went to work as a firefighter/paramedic. He THEN decided to pick the military stuff back up... I am exicted for you too!!! I bet you can't wait to see your son!
Hey Karen! Don't you feel relieved? I sure do. I couldn't believe how much Luke wrote and I don't expect his next letters to be quite as long. He spent 2 pages answering my letters and 2 pages telling me about Navy life. It sounds like they have a pretty good group there. After all, they ARE the "Top Dogs" of the 12/3 recruits and that's no surprise! I can't wait to hear form him. I live in the boonies so I sure hope I have a signal when he calls. Hoping for another letter next week. I did give Luke your name, your son's name and told him you are from Oklahoma City, in case he knows your son. So they will know we are talking. Let me know if you hear from him! Do you know any other people in their Ship/Div that haven't joined this group? I'd like to find more of them. Luke said there are 87 recruits.

If your profile or profile name contains last name (even if it is different from your rct/sailor)your rct/sailors first name or your e -mail address, I recommend that you change it for the safety of your sailor. Remember, this is a public site and anyone can become a member and read comments posted here.
Be wary of who you friend…before you accept a friend go to their page and see how active they are, the comments left, groups they’ve joined. If they have a lot of friends but no groups, no comments, click ignore and DO NOT FRIEND THEM…it is likely they are spammers, e-mail address harvesting
There is a group for each month rcts leave "Leavin for Boot Camp in (month they leave)" search groups and join this group...it will have info as well as connect you with other N4M's whose rcts leave that month.
Once you get your PIR (Pass In Review=graduation)date…search groups and join the PIR group..if it hasn’t been formed yet YOU may need to form it.
Go to YouTube and search Navy Racks, boot camp, graduaton, Battlestations 21 (CNN does it)
